TGIFriday

It is Friday, a chilly and sunny morning here in the SC Lowcountry.   And, glory be, all the new floors are down and the furniture is being moved back in as I type this message.  Boxes that were packed up are now being unpacked.  By the end of this weekend, the house will be restored and our lives will, hopefully, be back to normal.  It has been an ordeal, but the new floors are beautiful, and we really like the change.  Of course, as with any project, including genealogy, any improvement leads to more work which needs to be done.  A new genealogical link leads to whole new areas of research.  A restored floor and newly painted baseboards makes the old trim look shabby and leads to more painting.  The unpacking will lead to more examination of what we have and what we want to get rid of.  A never-ending task, just like our genealogical endeavors.

But oh, how nice it will be when we’re finished!

Oh, wait a minute…  We’re *never* finished with our genealogy….  Hopefully the house will prove to be different  <wink>

And with that, I’m off to grab another cup  [_]7 and dive into whatever household and genealogical tasks await me.

Y’all have a great day!
